Kent Conservancy Invasive Bittersweet Presentation
March 28 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Protecting our local ecosystem starts in our own backyards. Join us for an educational afternoon with David Richards, Environmental and Outreach Specialist, as we dive into one of Kent County’s most aggressive botanical threats: Invasive Bittersweet.
Often mistaken for a decorative vine, Oriental Bittersweet is a “tree-strangler” that can collapse canopies and outcompete our native flora. David will share expert insights on how to identify this invader, the impact it’s having on our local parks, and—most importantly—the practical steps you can take to help eliminate it and restore balance to our landscape.
